The American Public Power Association’s Rodeo Committee is recognizing lineworkers in its 2021 Virtual Public Power Rodeo Challenge to be held June 14-18, 2021.
The 2021 in-person rodeo was canceled due to pandemic-related health and safety concerns. The virtual competition among public power utilities will promote awareness and participation in the in-person lineworker rodeo planned for 2022 in Austin, TX.
APPA is looking for participating utilities to shoot creative videos of lineworkers introducing themselves and their communities and calling out another utility which they’d like to compete against in the 2022 in-person rodeo.
If interested, utilities should contact APPA by Friday, May 21.
